About MTM Publishing

MTM Publishing is a full-service book producing and editorial services company. We offer publishers, institutions, and authors a full range of services aimed at producing books, as well as content databases and other editorial electronic products, of the highest quality. Years of experience in idea and content origination; developmental, line editing, and copy editing; design and composition; indexing and proofreading have led MTM to many awards including Choice Outstanding Academic Titles, Library Journal's Best Reference awards, and an Honorable Mention for the 2010 Dartmouth Medal. Our specialties include college-level texts and encyclopedic reference works, as well as nonfiction titles, middle-school reference, and children's books. We have worked and gained expertise in many subject areas, including history and the humanities, social sciences, and science and technology. And publishers and institutions frequently turn to us to produce complex projects, involving editorial boards, multiple contributors, and other moving parts, given our proven track record in managing such projects with award-winning results. We have been operating continuously since 1998 under the direction of president and publisher, Valerie Tomaselli, originally under the name of The Moschovitis Group (TMG). In 2003, MTM Publishing spun off from TMG, and in 2007, MTM established a new children's division, under the direction of long-time MTM executive editor, Hilary Poole.
