About Multicultural Therapy

At Multicultural Therapy we enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults. We embrace a multilingual as well as multicultural therapeutic space and we are deeply passionate about empowering individuals. While we are here to guide you through the process, this is your process, and we want to aid you in finding your strengths so that you can be in charge of your journey. Some of the services we offer are; INDIVIDUAL THERAPY: We provide services for children, teenagers, and adults. We pride ourselves on offering a safe, welcoming space in which you can explore, process, and grow. Our areas of specialty are: - Anxiety and mood disorders (i.e., depression) - Phobias and OCD - Adjustment disorders, stress management, and life transitions. - Trauma, grief, and divorce PARENTING: We offer a broad range of support for parents at various stages of their journey, from transitioning into parenthood, to understanding and coping with a temperament mismatch between parent and child, to the inevitable changes and transitions brought on by adolescence. At Multicultural Therapy, we strive to help you understand your child's experiences and to recognize the role you play in your child's struggles so that you and your child can nurture and enjoy a stronger bond with one another. COUPLES: During our time together you and your partner will develop a broader perspective with an emphasis on learning how to listen to each other's needs as well as honoring your needs as individuals. Our goal is to aid you in understanding what triggers and dynamics are at play in your relationship and to foster healthy communication. We want you to leave with an effective set of tools and techniques, empowering you to overcome any new challenges that might arise post therapy.
