About Multimicro Systems
Welcome to the Multimicro Systems Multimicro Systems was founded by John Cahill in 1984. John received his education at the University of Nebraska and also earned a Master’s Degree from New York University. He spent the next 20 years in a variety of management information systems roles with companies including Bendix, Control Data, and Lithonia Lighting. Among his roles at Lithonia Lighting, John was primarily responsible for developing and implementing Lithonia’s Rep Agency communications system. John recognized the acute need across the lighting industry for Reps to have better access to advanced software tools tailored to meet their needs to allow them to effectively manage the day to day operations of their businesses. The software package from Multimicro Systems grew into a complete and comprehensive agency management system. Along the way, Electrical Distributors and Manufacturers began using the industry leading Quotation System and “The Cahill System” quickly became a well-known moniker throughout the lighting industry. As demand for the system grew, John needed some help and was joined in 1988 by his son, Matt Cahill. Scott Wilborn joined Multimicro in 1995, Wes Allen in 1998, and Jaci Holak in 2004. It is a testament to John’s leadership, vision, and the foundation he created that all four of these individuals are still working with him today at Multimicro Systems. Each current employee is a college graduate with a technical degree and over 10 years of individual and 85 years combined experience both in the lighting industry and working for Multimicro Systems. Matt took over the business in 2015 and continues to set the course for the company’s path to provide the software tools for Representative, Distributor, and Manufacturer customers that are easy to use, meet the needs of your business, provide the best value for your dollar, and are backed by our superior support.
