Multitude Films is a full-service production company that combines production services with tailored creative producing and ongoing political education. We are committed to care at every stage of our work and aim to shift norms across our industry — with a vision of a film industry that values and rewards projects directed and crewed by teams of color, LGBTQ filmmakers, filmmakers with disabilities, working class filmmakers, and women. Oriented by a culture change approach, we make award-winning films that change the way global audiences see the world around them. We produce, executive produce, and consult on nonfiction features, shorts, and series with a focus on equity and representation both on screen and behind the camera. Our critically-acclaimed films have been distributed by Netflix, HBO, POV, and The Criterion Channel and showcased at Sundance, Hot Docs, SXSW, and IDFA, among other festivals. Our work is multiple Emmy Award-winning, Peabody-nominated, and Academy Award-shortlisted; and our producers have been recognized by the Sundance Institute Amazon Studios Producer Award, DOC NYC 40 Under 40, Cinereach Producers Award, SIMA Vital Voices Award, and more. Our films and writing have been featured in The Atlantic, The Los Angeles Times, The Hollywood Reporter, and The New York Times, and more. We’re one of few production companies that integrates a social change orientation and impact strategy from the earliest stages of our involvement in a project. Our slate is built around core issue areas, allowing us to engage communities and movements over time and build impact cumulatively – since individual films are never silver bullet solutions.
