About Us: MUMentum is a group designed for mums in and around York to come together to support each other through the journey of motherhood. We understand the challenges that come with being a mother and how easy it is to feel isolated and alone. That's why we organise regular social events and gatherings, where mums can come together, share experiences, and form friendships that can last a lifetime. Our mission is to empower mums in York to thrive, by providing a safe and welcoming space where we can connect, support, and uplift each other. We believe that by creating a strong community of like-minded mums, we can help each other to navigate the highs and lows of motherhood, and build the resilience and confidence we need to rediscover ourselves outside of being mothers. Our Events: At MUMentum, we organise a variety of social events throughout the year that cater to the different needs and interests of our members. Some of our popular events include: Coffee mornings: A relaxed and informal gathering over coffee and cake, where mums can chat, share stories, and make new friends. Bookclub: Our book club meets regularly, and we read a diverse range of books. It is the perfect opportunity for mums who love to read to come together and discuss their favourite books. Walks: A chance to get some fresh air, exercise, and socialise with other mums while exploring the beautiful city of York. Our Community: MUMentum is more than just a group of mums who get together for social events. We provide a supportive and inclusive community that values diversity and celebrates motherhood in all its forms.
