About Mums in Business Network

Mums in Business Network (MIB Network) is a community of local mums from Kent and Sussex which meets in Tunbridge Wells & Sevenoaks each month. We all run businesses around our children. We are from various backgrounds, with all sorts of businesses in all sorts of stages, and our children range from newborns to in their 20s. OUR AIMS ★ to provide inspiration, tools and confidence to run your business more effectively ★ to be a friendly, supportive place for business owners to meet and socialise ★ to help you build lots of contacts for business generation and collaboration. WHAT WE DO We meet every month to network, socialise, share information and experiences, learn about business-related matters from a wide range of speakers and have the odd treat here and there. We have a Facebook Group specifically for our members, links with the local media, and join forces for shared PR activities. In addition to our monthly meetings we also run day-time small-group skills workshops during school hours on a range subjects e.g. DIY product photography and how to grow your business. OUR MEETINGS Getting ready for a meeting. We usually meet on the 1st & 3rd Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening of every month. You can find out more information on our Events page. New members and guests are always very welcome, we’re a friendly lot! OUR WORKSHOPS From time to time we hold daytime small workshops for those wanting more in-depth knowledge about specific subjects e.g. DIY Product Photography. OUR HISTORY TW Mums in Business was established in March 2009 and was run by Claire Witz until Ali Tait took up the reins in January 2023. We have many active members and excellent speakers with a good reputation in the area and strong links with many local businesses and media.
