Municipal Tax Equity (MTE) Consultants Inc. and our affiliate, MTE Paralegal are recognized throughout the Province as dedicated partners to the municipal community and trusted sources of expertise in the areas of property assessment, taxation and municipal finance. MTE provides municipalities with taxation and municipal finance support services, as well as policy development guidance, to ensure they achieve maximum revenue yields from existing sources, realize optimal benefits from emerging opportunities, and are able to develop and operate within Ontario's municipal policy framework with the greatest possible efficiency. MTE Paralegal Professional Corporation was established in 2008 to ensure compliant delivery of services formerly provided by our Assessment Base Management division. MTE Paralegal is a certified Professional Corporation under the Law Society of Upper Canada and provides legal services and representation to municipalities in assessment and property tax appeal matters before the Assessment Review Board, other tribunals and the courts. MTE’s corporate and operational Head Office is located on the Western edge of the Greater Toronto Area, in the Town of Halton Hills. A secondary office was established in Sarnia, Ontario in 2004 in order to provide key support in South Western Ontario.
