About Muovipoli
Muovipoli is a development, research and material testing company specialized in plastics and plastic products. Muovipoli was established in 1998 and its 25 stockholders include industrial companies, universities and development organizations. Muovipoli has also a great number of collaborators from universities to industries. Muovipoli’s strengths are in long experience of plastics and production technologies, our broad network ranging from universities to experts as well as fast anticipation of the changes and needs of industries. Our R&D services include expert, testing and prototyping services. The testing and development facilities are located in our laboratory with standard conditions for testing of plastics. We are able to manufacture prototypes, plastic products and test samples with injection moulding, extrusion, film extrusion and thermoforming technologies. The main testing services are mechanical testing and other characterization of plastic and composite materials. We help our customers in their R&D projects to face challenges by creating and carrying out effectively managed R&D projects. We are working in close co-operation with universities and research centres, as well as companies with latest expert knowledge. We have participated in research projects focused on bioplastics, biocomposites, nanomaterials and recycling, funded e.g. by the European Union, Ministry of the Environment in Finland and the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (Business Finland). The Management System of Muovipoli is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has been audited and certified by Bureau Veritas Certification. The scope of certification is for the product development, testing and research services of plastics and plastic products.
