MurphsLife provides aid and resources to those who need it most in developing economies by strategically identifying and helping impoverished families and communities with the goal of empowering them to become self-sufficient. By documenting the process, these acts of charity allow contributors to see where their resources go, creating and supporting micro-economies, disaster relief, education, and other basic human needs throughout the world. “My hope is that the people who watch these videos can learn and experience gratitude, and the beauty of charity.” - Aaron Murphy Story: Trapped in a border town of Ecuador at the beginning of the pandemic, and down to his last $200, Aaron Murphy gave the last of his resources to a family in need of food, starting the MurphsLife movement. This act of kindness gained so much attention on social media, that people started donating so Murphy could continue his journey in helping people who need it most, while telling their stories. "Just a few years ago I was hopeless. I owed many friends money, I didn’t think I could ever quit partying, drinking, or smoking. I developed severe anxiety. I couldn’t drive cars anymore. I felt like I would have a mental breakdown any day. I was told that it runs in my family, that medication was the only way. I began relying on people... but soon realized that no one was coming to save me. I told myself years ago that before turning 34, I’d face my greatest fears; Going to South America, the dentist, and MYSELF. So I packed my backpack, leaving everyone and everything I knew behind, jumping into the unknown, trusting in a higher power to guide me on my journey. It was scary... incredibly difficult, yet incredibly fulfilling. I never left my home thinking that I would be serving others...
