About Murphy Transport

Murphy Transport Ltd is a family run business that was founded by its managing director, Miceál Murphy, in 1956. The company currently employs 40 people. Our headquarters is located on Ballinlough Road in Cork City. In 2016 we celebrated our 60th anniversary. The main area of our business is our Specialist Full Load Transport Service covering Ireland, the UK & Europe. This includes the carriage of a wide range of bulk liquids in Road Tankers and ISO Tanks. Our fleet is GPS tracked to maximize efficiency by offering our customers real-time data and cost-effective transport solutions. Our Tank Cleaning Service, we have a state of the art wash station at our headquarters in Ballinlough, Cork City, which is EFTCO registered (Cleaning Station 250). Our Tank Wash Station is also SQAS accredited. It has the specification to clean a large variety of products, including food-grade substances and hazardous goods from ISO tanks, liquid bulk containers, and road tankers. We have a fully licensed drive through Truck Wash, which provides a brush wash for vehicles such as vans, rigids, artics, buses, and a touchless wash for tanks, etc. We offer container lifting, storage & secure parking with 24hr security at our new Little Island container depot. Competitive rates are available. We also provide a wide range of other services within the transport sector. These include trailer hire, ISO tank hire(food grade, GP and rubber-lined), tank heating, and tank storage, as well as our Container Service, which consists of the handling, storage, and repair of containers at our Cork depot. All types of fully laden containers ('open tops,' 'refrigerated' needing a plug-in, etc.). We also provide a stripping, reloading, and a nationwide distribution service if required.
