MUSEUM EXPRESS – Personal Art Delivery Service (www.museum-express.co // IG: @museum_express) Artist and designer Sebastian Jung came up with the MUSEUM EXPRESS in early 2021 to help out during the Corona pandemic when many galleries and museums had to close. This unique project aims to keep art accessible to everyone. A normal delivery backpack was transformed into a small museum with exhibition space and LED lighting, creating one of the smallest museums in the world. Inside the MUSEUM EXPRESS are changing mini-exhibitions featuring artworks like sculptures, videos, paintings, and photos from artists around the world. These exhibitions are brought to your home, workplace, or a nearby park for a personal viewing experience. You can't see what's inside online, so you need to order to be the first to enjoy the mini-exhibition. It's not just about quick art delivery; the MUSEUM EXPRESS offers an intimate experience with each artwork and a 30-minute presentation. This turns the delivery into a special event, making every visit a memorable one, no matter where it happens. Sebastian Jung has traveled to cities like Düsseldorf, Cologne, Saarbrücken, and Copenhagen, delivering over 23 unique mini-exhibitions to more than 400 homes in the past 2.5 years, all by bike. Besides showcasing curated exhibitions, the MUSEUM EXPRESS partners with places like the Clemens Sels Museum in Neuss (Germany), allowing galleries and museums to share their artworks through this mobile mini-museum to attract new visitors. Looking ahead, the MUSEUM EXPRESS aims to connect different countries and cultures to facilitate artistic exchanges. The project strives to bridge gaps and create opportunities for sharing art worldwide.
