About Music and the Brain Foundation

Since 2014, Music and the Brain Foundation has been at the forefront of championing the use of personal music in the prevention, treatment and management of brain-related disorders. As a registered Australian health promotion charity, we are committed to delivering evidence-based, community-driven health promotion programs that improve mental health and enrich lives. Listening to community needs, we translate national and international research into practical tools, like the Music Attuned app and other bespoke music-based interventions, co-designed with older adults and tailored for aged care, dementia support, and brain health. We evaluate the impact of our programs in real-world settings. Our role is to facilitate and enable: putting proven science into the hands of communities, so people can thrive through music, right where they live. Supported by volunteers, Music and the Brain Foundation is community based, community focused and community driven.
