Welcome to music camp! Music by Hannah is a new summer music program for your enthusiastic and growing musicians in the Boston area! Musicians of all levels, ages 7 to 15, are welcome to spend either one weekend or 10 days with me and a group of aspiring musicians to learn the music they want to learn. Each student is given the opportunity to explore a variety of solo repertoire, instrumental skills, and chamber music that excites them. During each four-hour session, your budding musician will get hands-on and group musical instruction that will provoke thoughtfulness and uncover personal goals, challenges, and accomplishments that make up their musical voice. You will be invited to join us at the end of the program to celebrate their musical and personal discovery through a public concert. Hannah is a recent graduate of Ithaca College with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, grades K-12. In addition to her career in solo and orchestral flute across the United States, Hannah has traveled to Myanmar as a guest artist and pedagogue, teaching masterclasses and individual lessons at the local music institutes and universities. With a growing private studio based in the Somerville/Cambridge area, offered both in-person and online, Hannah spends her time practicing flute (and other western classical instruments), while teaching at a variety of Music Together locations in the greater Boston area! Her extensive musical knowledge, worldly experience, and contagious enthusiasm will provide your new musician with a positive summer and life experience.
