About Music City North
Music City North is a booking company for independent musicians with a goal of creating a music community. We introduce bands to each other, do not promote set times, encourage bands to come for the beginning and stay to the end of the show. Support one another and the venue. When we create a music community, others will want to be a part of that community, therefore creating a music scene. We book our own shows, book for local venues, book tours and organize our music festival: Soundtrack of the City. With Soundtrack of the City, we keep it in one small area so that people can easily move between venues, rather than spending time commuting between places. The festival is held three times a year: March (venues along Queen St W in Toronto), August (Kensington Market in Toronto) and just added this year, July (downtown Oshawa). There are some other projects in the works, so keep an eye out for announcements!
