About Music for People
Music for People is a music performance charity dedicated to boosting the health and wellbeing of marginalised groups. We work primarily with older people and mental health service users and currently run three types of projects: Music Inclusion - sing-along and tea dance concerts for older people; reminiscence, exercise and social integration Performance Skills Workshop - helping mental health service users improve their musicals talents and providing opportunities for them to play in the community Music, Mobility & Movement Classes - Exercising mind, body and spirit with movements adaptable to all ages and physical abilities As a charity our vision is to “promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects”.
