Music Speaks is a private music therapy practice based in the Capital Region of New York State, providing services to children and adults for over 15 years. The Owner, Courtney A. Elder, MT-BC, received her Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) and holds a nationally recognized certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT). Music Speaks thrives on creating a positive therapeutic relationship with its clients while meeting them “in the moment" to allow their wants and needs to be met and to ensure a non-invasive, creative environment. Our therapists are Board Certified and covered by our company's Liability Insurance. Music Therapy is a humanistic, non-invasive treatment designed to alleviate pain and stress, provide an outlet for expression of feelings and emotions, and provide a unique means of interacting and communicating.
