About Musical Grandpas
Interactive music incursions for preschool children. Live performance teaching simple music and rhythms. Murray Stanton- Co- Founder and Creator of “Musical Grandpas” Murray has been involved with music from a young age. He has worked within community theatre for over 40 years as both lead performer and director. He has a longstanding association with the childcare sector as a specialist supplier of cleaning products and consumables. He currently performs with Ukulele Band “The Fine Lookin’ Fella’s” and duo “Two Shades of Grey” with co- founder Robert Mason. Recently becoming a grandpa (Pop), he hopes that he can “light a spark” in preschoolers that he received from an educator as a child giving him lifelong enjoyment of music and performing. Robert Mason - Co Founder and Creator of "Musical Grandpas" Robert is very passionate about music, performing, and early childhood education. He has been a performer for over 40 years, both professionally and non-professionally. He has been involved in community theatre as a lead actor, singer and director, and has appeared in TV shows such as “All Saints”, “Home and Away” and “Love Child”, as well as many television commercials. Robert was the creator, owner, and teacher of “ART 4 KIDZ” - after-school art classes for young children. He also worked as a Senior Animator and Character Lead for Walt Disney Studios. Robert currently performs in two ukulele bands the “The Fine Lookin’ Fellas” and “Two Shades of Grey”. “My parents instilled in me a passion for music at a very young age, and nothing would please me more than to impart this knowledge and enjoyment on to young children.”
