About Musical Theatre Ireland

One of the main aims of Musical Theatre Ireland is to develop, promote and advance Musical Theatre skills training for Irish as well as overseas students who wish to proceed into higher education and professional work within the Performing Arts. Until now, courses and resources such as this have not been available to young performers in Ireland. Musical Theatre Ireland’s training programmes are facilitated by a wealth of Musical Theatre specialists with strong links to London’s West End, Broadway's New York and beyond. Launching Ireland's FIRST EVER full-time 1 year 'Advanced Preparation Course' in 2013, MTI firmly established itself as a college of outstanding quality in both vocational training as well as student support and development. MTI's results were exceedingly positive: - Out of the 13 students who applied and auditioned for UK colleges, 12 have accepted places on diploma, BA and MA courses at London's top drama school. In total, they were offered a total of 21 places on courses at a wide variety of London's top drama schools as well as 3 part scholarships and 1 full scholarship. - 2 of our students have decided to move directly into the professional arena and already have agent interest and completed multiple professional jobs. - MTI has been praised for its quality training, personal attention to each student as well as the professional conduct and talent our students have shown at auditions in London. We have one of the highest placement percentages of any 1 year course both in Ireland and the UK. - MTI aditionally produced 2 shows which were held in professional theatres and open to the paying public. Not only were our students involved in college auditions, they were given the opportunity to develop their rehearsal technique and performance skills. Both shows recieved sold out attendance and critical acclaim.
