About Mustarinda

Mustarinda-seura on taiteilijoiden ja tutkijoiden ryhmittymä, jonka tarkoituksena on edistää yhteiskunnan ekologista jälleenrakennusta, kulttuurin ja luonnon monimuotoisuutta sekä taiteen ja tieteen yhteyttä. Mustarinda-seura kurottelee kohti jälkifossiilista kulttuuria yhdistämällä tieteellistä tietoa ja kokemuksellista taiteellista toimintaa. Taide- ja luontokeskus Mustarinda sijaitsee Paljakan luonnonpuiston kupeessa Kainuun toisiksi korkeimmalla vaaralla. Paljakan luonnonpuistossa ja sen lähiympäristössä on Suomen ja koko Pohjois-Euroopan mittakaavassa ainutlaatuisia luonnontilaisia kuusimetsiä, runsaasti harvinaisia vanhan metsän lajeja ja myös suurpetoja. Mikroilmastonsa ansiosta Paljakka ja viereinen Lumivaara ovat Suomen lumisimpia alueita. ^^ The Mustarinda Association is a group of artists and researchers, whose goal is to promote the ecological reconstruction of society, the diversity of cultures and natures, and the connection between arts and sciences. Mustarinda reaches towards a post-fossil culture by combining scientific knowledge and experiential artistic activity. Art and Nature Center Mustarinda is located at the outskirts of Paljakka Nature Reserve on top of the second highest hill in the Kainuu Region. Surrounded by valuable old forests, the hill chain of Paljakka has its own microclimate, making it one of the snowiest places in Finland.
