Originally founded in 1954, Mutual Security is now one of the largest state-chartered community-based credit unions in Connecticut. We are a not-for-profit, member owned financial institution, which allows us to return earnings to our member–owners in the form of higher rates on checking and savings accounts, and lower rates on loans and credit cards.
