About muVaP

muVaP is a high-tech startup from IMTEK (Department of Microsystems Engineering) of University of Freiburg, Germany. Utilizing our unique piezo technology, we develop the next generation of piezoelectric actuators, microvalves, and micropumps. Consuming only a fraction of power consumption of the currently available technologies, our 2/2, 3/2, 3/3, and 5/2 microvalves operate silently and proportionally, even under high pressures, while maintaining a large orifice to allow high flowrates. Delivering this high performance within a compact size, light weight, with no heat generation, and fast response time, make our valves an ideal solution to a wide range of applications, from automotive, aerospace, and biotechnology, till pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. Besides developing actuators, valves (and valve arrays), and pumps, we also work closely with our customers and collaborators to develop tailored solutions and modules for their specific fluidic, pneumatic, and control requirements.
