About my ceramic studio

My works are what I see and how I live. I go with the flow ,slowly , day by day. I paint a pond , because it's close to me , I can hear its rippling , I can see it glitter , wave , or surge . I paint the fields that surround me , their rhythms , variable texstures. I paint the sky and water , the moment when the sky is reflected in the water , and the water in the sky. They are all but moments , suspended somewhere , beyond time, in an ever peaceful place. The place where we are not ... I collect , arrange and combine them, I toy with memories. It is important that I am in my works. Each of them is a fraction of the moments spent here and now , at the time of mist or rain , of silence , or when the ducks cackled mockingly on the lake while the carp pranced. I have it all under my eyelids and in my fingertips as I transfer the impressions onto fire clay tiles, mosaic fragments , jigsaws, and I pour them into clay boxes and seal them up. Let them rattle ... cases, cupboards, cabinets Made by hand from old wood collected from very old barns, cabins and furniture and using old-time joinery techniques. Protected with wax, French polish or coated with acrylic paint. Handmade ceramic features are available for ornament: ceramic tiles or openwork mosaics placed in furniture doors, tops or furniture finials. We make custom designed furniture, with custom selected colours and ceramic features. Renovation and redesigning of your old pieces of furniture is also on offer. In addition to furniture, we also make 2decorative panels (originally designed to be hung above the door, but their length allows them to be used as curtain rails) 3pateras (made in a way similar to the way in which cabinets are made) 4furniture screens (double-sided, full or openwork)
