About My Father's House Foundation

My Father’s House Foundation is a nonprofit organization located in Birmingham, Alabama, dedicated to helping older youth in foster care as they move out of their foster care settings to life on their own. When our foster care youth “age out” of the system, many have no place to go, with no permanent family to support them. They need our encouragement and support, from learning the life skills needed to live on their own, as well as spending time with adult role models to guide them as they find their way. We provide this encouragement and support through our S.T.A.R.S. program and volunteer mentors. Our ultimate goal is to build a transitional life skills campus for youth who are aging out of the foster care system. We want to provide a safe and secure home for them as they move from dependence to independence.
