About My Idealife

Hi, I am Ann Anderson. I live here in Auckland, NZ, having grown up in the Waikato. My earliest career was teaching in the middle school area, and this love of learning, and facilitating learning in others, has been a central theme in my life. I have always had an entrepreneurial streak, starting small businesses on the side when teaching and when my children were small. This culminated in building a management training and development company with my then husband, specialising in growing successful teams, and developing leadership skills. A break in my marriage meant a complete reinvention of myself. While these were hard times, they created the opportunity to learn new skills. I tried my hand in real estate, took a year teaching in Singapore and travelled Asia, and furthered my qualifications in the area of Career Development. Developing my own business again was always a strong desire. Searching the internet, I found an online business in the Personal Development and Leadership industry. This attracted me from the beginning, and I have gone on to build and grow it with success, both financially and from a life style point of view. I have always had a strong sense of adventure, and love of new experiences, especially if they involve physical activity. There is something about pushing oneself physically that enables us to grow and apply the disciplines to other areas of our lives. My highlights have been trekking to Everest Base Camp, a second trek in the Himalayas, a cycle trip through Rajasthan, India, and Croatia, the Great NZ Trek, and numerous tramping and cycling adventures in NZ. My current business allows work/life balance, the chance to use my skills and build my business anywhere in the world, to travel and to pursue activities I love. My family and friends have always been a central focus in my life, and I am blessed with three grown children, all leading purposeful lives, and three grand children. I cherish the time I can spend with them.
