Residential Childcare Specialists Providing consultancy, training & development, independent regulation 44 visits, mock OFSTED inspections and reporting & recording services to residential childcare, fostering and supported accommodation. At My Journey Consultancy we recognise the impact of generational and childhood trauma for Children and Young People living in the UK. We seek to support and educate those in a position of trust, to truly understand the impact of trauma and how this transmutes into everyday living for those in our care. As residential childcare specialists we understand the pressures of working in a social care setting; however, we believe, that with a change of perspective, person- centred education and contextualised logical thinking processes, we’re able to re-connect and re-energise the social care sector. Through our reparational approach to supporting Children’s Residential, Fostering & Supported Accommodation services; we strive to make a long lasting contribution to the prevention of our Children and Young People living with a lifetime of trauma. We aim to support Children and Young People to understand the world around them. Whilst encouraging mindfulness and developing a good understanding for realistic expectations, we seek to demonstrate strategies for long-term stability; not solely for the moment. Let’s work to imbed positive communication and life skills that allow our Children and Young People to grow with nature and nurture; developing strong and trusting relationships as they pass through a forever changing world.
