About My Name My Story

WHO WE ARE. My Name My Story is an organization that empowers changemakers based on the belief that “Stories Inspire Empathy, and Empathy Drives Change.” MISSION. We believe the root cause of many of the issues we see today is due to the lack of empathy. Our mission is to build a culture of changemakers by connecting an empowered community of educators and student leaders who amplify 21st century skills and human-centered design within their organizations. My Name My Story strives to affect positive change through empathetic, collaborative, and innovative solutions, ultimately fostering a community who has the confidence to turn their ideas into action. WHAT WE DO. We facilitate virtual programs with impactful curriculum and engaging activities for educators to walk their students through a journey of awareness, understanding, and action grounded in empathy. Our Changemaker Summit is designed with the belief that students can create powerful change in their school campuses and communities; our changemaking curriculum offers curated and exclusive content on the pertinent topics of: Empathy, Diversity & Inclusion, Black Lives Matter, Mental Wellness, Leadership and much more. Through our facilitated programs, we hope to unify diverse communities on campus, empower students to take action, introduce students to Human Centered Design Thinking, and teach students 21st century skills that will help them succeed in a digitally connected, culturally diverse world.
