About My Neurodiversity Coach
It’s nice to meet you. My name is Juliana and I am the proud mom to two neurodivergent kids. I am also the proud coach of many neurodivergent adults, family members, and children who are discovering their superpowers through neurodivergence. When my son was born, as I rocked him to sleep I would imagine all of the accomplishments, milestones and joy in front of us. My vision was linear and nuclear. The milestones would come easy. The next 7 years would be anything but that. Through a neurodivergent diagnosis, I learned that comparison is the thief of joy, and I had to radically adjust my world view as I helped my son navigate a world that was not made for him- that was not made for us. Through this journey, which we are still on together, I found great purpose and joy in learning who my son is. When my son was 5 I stepped down from my 10 years as a founding elementary school principal to lean into the support and advocacy he would need. I became certified in Orton-Gillingham to support him in reading, and began to tutor other children as well. This opened me up to a new community of overwhelmed families who just wanted to do right by their kids, but weren’t sure where to even start. I found myself finding great joy in supporting them in finding their path to empowerment. It’s not easy, but it’s easier when we do it together. This led me to pursue my ACC and PCNC certifications from the International Federation of Coaching (IFC) and found My Neurodiversity Coach LLC. My goal is to help the entire ecosystem that surrounds a neurodivergent individual- families, partners, managers and organizations- learn that neurodiversity makes us better through advocacy, empowerment and joy. What if we changed the narrative around neurodivergence? What doors will open when we focus on the strengths? What are the possibilities in a more neurodivergent friendly world? I hope you join me on this incredible journey to find out! With Love, Juliana Founder, CEO & Mom
