About MyChild'sCancer
MyChild'sCancer (MCC) is an international nonprofit (501c3) organization that provides personalized treatment research, patient advocacy, and varied community support services to predominantly Jewish and Israeli families battling childhood cancer. Our Vision is that no child should perish because life-saving information was not available to h/her parents or caregivers. Our Mission is to make life-saving information on treatment options, emerging clinical trails, specialists, and new drugs easily accessible to families during their fight against childhood cancer. PROGRAMS Individualized, situational pediatric cancer treatment research: Childhood cancer is extremely rare but because of this, parents often struggle to find information that could save their child's life. MCC's team of cancer experts, medical researchers, and Oncologists provides personalized research into treatment methodologies, new drugs, specialists, hospitals, and emerging clinical trials. General patient advocacy: MCC conducts continual outreach to relevant national and international treatment centers, hospitals, doctors, nurses, and insurance providers in order to ensure our families get the best care possible. MCC facilitates second options, joins families on medical visits, works with health care providers, translates medical documentation if necessary, straightens out payment and health insurance issues, and works to ensure each family is informed, supported, and can focus on the needs of their child. Community support services: MCC provides information, guidance and relocation assistance to families traveling from Israel to the United States for treatment. MCC is building the 'Wikipedia' of childhood cancer because asking your doctor the right question may save your child's life.
