MYFJ is a free social networking website that enables its users to create and add favourites (defined as anything you love) into a community (defined as a place or location) using colour. Each user chooses one of nine colours upon registration, which then influence the colour of the favourites they create or add, and subsequently the communities the favourites belong to. This is likened to a user leaving their coloured footprint throughout the site. MYFJ also features a set of free tools that individuals or businesses can use to promote themselves as favourites, including being able to add team members, create events, notices and promotions, as well as the ability to link their Twitter feeds to their page. MYFJ evolved from a community website created in 2006 specifically for the Jersey community entitled 'My Favourite Jersey' which is a play on the saying of the same name referring to a favourite knitted garment and paying homage to the Jersey knitting industry.
