About Myko Education

Rote learning, a memorisation technique based on repetition, is what many believe in as the pathway to score better results for Mathematics. It may work for basic arithmetic questions but not for application questions that require analysis and inference. In this volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world where today’s work could be obsolete tomorrow, can we help our children to be better equipped to take on the uncertainties? We founded Myko Education (pronounced as Mee – Co Education) to provide a different tutoring experience. Myko stands for my knowledgeable other, one who is more skilled than the learner for a particular task or concept that they are trying to learn. We firmly believe that the next generation needs competencies and skills that are enduring and transferable. The design of our curriculum and delivery promotes classroom discourse and collaboration. We are adding value to students’ ability to make their thinking visible and work effectively in a group setting while building their Mathematical content knowledge and skills. We develop our students to be ethical problem solvers through the Myko Experience, to be prepared for changes and ready for challenges.
