About Myli Festival Wear
We’re My Glasin and Linda Askestad, the designers and creators behind Myli Festival Wear, an Australian festival fashion label that calls Bondi Beach home. Two best friends with a passion for festival fashion and sewing- we create festival wear that empower women to feel confident and beautiful. Our story began when we moved to Sydney from Scandinavia and discovered the festival scene. We instantly connected with the festival community—the love, the energy, and the connection between the music and the people is something so special. We were especially fascinated about the creativity in everyone's outfits. There was no such thing as “too much” or “overdressed”, just pure self-expression with all the glitter and sparkles. Inspired by the creativity around us, we began making our own festival outfits. The moment that changed everything was when we wore our handmade designs to Pitch Music & Arts Festival in 2022 and were overwhelmed by the positive feedback and compliments. It was such a special feeling receiving compliments for something we had created ourselves—that’s when Myli was born. Originally launched as a rental brand in 2022, we quickly saw the love and demand for our designs. This inspired us to transition to an e-commerce model, proudly serving customers in Australia and the USA. Our mission is to create festival fashion that not only looks incredible but also makes women feel confident and unique. We are an independent label, following a made-to-order approach. Every piece is hand-sewn by us, making each item extra special. This approach not only minimises excess stock and fabric waste but ensures that every piece is made just for you. Myli is a two-woman brand, and we do it all—designing, pattern drafting, fabric sourcing, e-commerce management, marketing, social media, content shoots, and sewing each order. Our motto is simple: Love. Rave. Sparkle. We believe that every woman deserves to shine with confidence and joy.
