myLIFEspeaks exists to develop a Christ-Centered culture in Haiti one LIFE at a time; through Family Empowerment, Educational Excellence, & Public Health Impact. We are committed to advancing commUNITY in Haiti by enhancing LIFE. Family Empowerment: myLIFEspeaks has a family-based approach to orphan care in Haiti. We place orphaned or abandoned children, with and without special needs, in loving, forever, family homes, not institutions. In our Haitian family homes, Christian married couples or single moms, raise their typically developing and special needs “foster” children alongside their biological children as a FAMILY. In a country where parents are encouraged to relinquish their children, out of desperation, to orphanages who use children for profit; myLIFEspeaks believes in empowering and keeping families together. Educational Excellence: LIFE Academy provides quality Christ-centered education for children, both typically developing and special needs, under one roof. We are one of the only schools in Haiti to integrate children of all-abilities. LIFE Academy equips students with critical thinking, virtues, and empowerment in Christ that extends far beyond the classroom. Public Health Impact: Very simply, we do everything we can to GET and KEEP people in Haiti healthy. We offer clinic services, prenatal and nursing mother care, elderly care, nutritional feeding programs for the vulnerable, physical & occupational therapies, and more. Jesus met both physical and spiritual needs of people while on earth. We feel called to follow His Example as such.
