About MyPolis

A way to promote, practice, and pay forward the necessary tools for participatory democracy and create the path for an educated, passionate, and active new generation. At MyPolis, where politics is made easy, our central goal as of 2018 has been to bridge the gap between politicians, kids in schools, young adults, and everyday citizens of Portugal. In a variety of different ways, MyPolis works to create an environment where students and young adults can understand the importance of civic participation, so much so that they are inclined to learn and engage in the program and process of democracy. Within fourteen different municipalities of Portugal, and the help of local politicians, MyPolis has had the honor of touching the lives of over 16,000 Portuguese citizens. Expansion is a key component to achieving the goals of this company. Expansion for MyPolis is in the form of education, social change, and the creation of new leaders. By doing this MyPolis can without a doubt create an environment where all people are heard, understood, and their ideas are put into action. The company's digital platform provides a space for youngsters to engage with representatives to promote social change within their communities. MyPolis acts as a solution for making citizenship education fun and inclusive. This is achieved by providing innovative, fun games to learn about democracy while using unique tools to also include citizenship education. The team created this platform with the hopes of initiating real democratic change and hope for those who may feel removed from the process in Portugal. The team of fifteen members share this same passion and dedication, working to reach this goal on a daily basis. MyPolis hopes that with their hard work, digital platforms, and resources with politicians in Portugal, they will be able to make democracy accessible to all.
