About N.C. Youth Outdoor Engagement Commission
Our vision is to see North Carolinians engaging with the state’s diverse natural resources and developing a lasting appreciation for the outdoors. We seek to promote outdoor activities in state parks, provide grants to students K-12 that encourage outdoor learning and experiences, and to reach youth that have not previously had access to these opportunities. It is our mission to engage and support the youth population of NC that is interested in hiking, camping, paddling, hunting, fishing, and more within our great state. Our Go Outside (GO) Grants, Patch Programs, and future Clubs within schools are our primary ways of reaching our main audiences- youth, students, teachers, and parents.
