About NABT | National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees

The National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees is the only organization dedicated to the chapter 7, chapter 11 & subchapter V trustee practice. With over 600 active panel trustees and a dedicated network of professionals who work with trustees, NABT offers unparalleled education, resources and connections for the trustee community. NABT is a nonprofit association formed in 1982 to address the needs of Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees. Since then, the focus of the organization has expanded to include Chapter 11 and Subchapter V trustees. NABT continues to promote the effectiveness of the bankruptcy system as a whole. Membership in NABT is open to chapter 7 and subchapter V trustees and their staff, judges, employees of the Office of the U.S. Trustee, and associated professionals and businesses. Our associate members include attorneys, accountants, auctioneers, appraisers, insurance agents, software providers and bankers. The organization is governed by a Trustee member elected Board of Directors in accordance with its bylaws and the day-to-day administration is managed by NABT’s Executive Director, Jennifer Brinkley and the team at Inspire AMC. Members of all types can take part in the advancement of NABT through participating in various committees, providing content in “The American Bankruptcy Trustee Journal,” attending the annual conference, engaging with fellow members through the listserv, posting assets via NABT’s Market Assets for Sale and supporting the President’s Circle.
