6 years ago, we decided to give ourselves a kick in the butt and start paying attention to what we eat every day. A paleo-type diet meaning no gluten, grains or dairy, no preservatives and definitely no added sugar just made sense, so off we trotted into paleo land not knowing what we were really getting ourselves into. After a few weeks of dabbling, we took the plunge and did a full 30 days, 100% paleo. Not even ketchup passed our lips. The first two weeks were gruesome but the second two, wow! We felt amazing. That was all the proof we needed. Of course, we still wanted the odd sweet treat, we are only human after all, and our old gluten and sugar-laden recipes were not going to cut it so we went back to basics, using simple, real food ingredients and created our own goodies. Naturally, we wanted everyone around us to feel as good as we did so we started sharing treats, recipes and advice on how we conquered our cravings. Before we knew it, friends were requesting batches of goodies and the rest, as they say, is history. Five years on and our motivation in business is still the same. We want everyone to have access to nutritious, tasty and CONVENIENT treats that don’t make you feel guilty if you decide not to share and you know you are doing your body a solid by fuelling it with real, whole food ingredients. There’s no reason why you can’t make our products yourself, but sometimes… life! We’re here to fill that gap so you can get on with picking up the kids, finishing your assignment or even just sitting down and enjoying a cuppa with something tasty to go with it.
