About Nakshatra Wisconsin

Nakshatra is the inter-collegiate Indian classical dance competition hosted annually at UW-Madison! We are a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of 12 executive board positions, ranging from fundraising and logistics to marketing and risk management. As an RSO of the university, we are dual-registered with the Multicultural Student Center and Center for Leadership & Involvement. As the premier competition of the Midwest and a certified partner competition of Origins Championship, Nakshatra hosts eight teams from around the country, who are hand-selected to compete for the coveted 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place titles, which earn cash prizes and bid points to qualify for nationals.
