Introducing Nama Wines - an emerging wine label firmly rooted in the heart of cool climate NSW. Founded in 2021 by the sommelier Shun Eto, in close collaboration with acclaimed winemaker Alex McKay & Emma Shaw from Collector Wines, Nama Wines seamlessly blends Australian tradition with modernity. At the core of our philosophy is the belief in "Less is More" winemaking, where we champion minimal additions and allow the grapes to speak for themselves. Driven by an unwavering commitment to sustainability, Nama Wines embraces eco-friendly winemaking. Our grape growers embrace sustainable practices, ensuring the health of the land for generations to come. The name “Nama” holds special significance, translating to "raw and fresh" in Japanese, a reflection of our approach to winemaking. Just as the name suggests, we strive to capture the essence of the grape in its purest form. Dedicated to diversity, Nama presents an array of hand crafted wines, including a Chardonnay sourced from Tumbarumba, a food driven Rosé from Murrumbateman, and a savoury Sangiovese also hailing from Murrumbateman. All these wines are made locally only in the cool climates of NSW. Already gaining notable recognition, Nama wines guided by the foresight of Shun Eto and nurtured by Alex & Emma's expertise from Collector Wines, is poised to delight the NSW wine landscape.
