About Napa Arts & Licensing Agency Oy
Napa Arts & Licensing Agency is the most versatile, daring and experienced licensing agency, representing Finnish illustrators. Napa Agency was founded by ex-gallerist, cultural producer & MA Marjo Granlund in 2015. Napa Agency's predecessor was Napa Illustrations, the first illustration agency in Finland (2007–2015). NAPA was originally a comic anthology which Jussi Karjalainen and Jenni Rope founded in 1997. The current cadre of Napa illustrators is made up of Rope’s Napa Books – publishing house artists. Currently our roster includes 14 front-line illustrators. Others are already renowned and awarded whilst some are young, up-and-coming talents. The agency attends to various stages of an illustration project: first the framework (contracts, schedules and price negotiations) of the illustration project is decided and negotiated with the agency. After this joint work with the illustrator may begin! The agency acts as a bridge and a helping hand between the people who license illustrations and the people who make them. In addition the agency provides project management and consultation. Our clientele includes: Ruisrock Festival, Yle (Finnish Broadcasting Company), New York Times, The Finnish Association for Nature Conservation (FANC), SKR (Finnish Cultural Foundation), City of Helsinki, Helsinki University, Finnish Post, Jongla Oy, The Union of Journalists in Finland, Creative agency 358, Condé Nast, Dynamo & Son, Otavamedia, Pohjoisranta Burson-Marsteller, TBWA, SEK & GREY and various insurance companies in Finland.
