About Napa Tech

Napa Tech is a fintech startup on a mission to give seniors and their families peace of mind. We are building an AI-powered solution that provides a holistic view of finances, secure visibility for trusted caregivers, and intelligent monitoring and alerts—all in an interface designed specifically for ease of use by aging adults. A Fidelity survey published in 2024 reported 56% of Americans as saying their parents have never discussed their finances with them. 51% of Americans face some form of financial difficulty after the death of a loved one (Western & Southern, 2025). This points to a need for better visibility and traceability of seniors' financial assets. The FTC estimated that U.S. seniors lost $12.5 Billion in 2024 to fraud and scams. There is a clear need for more intelligent and senior-specific monitoring and alerting for fraud, scams and abuse. The company's co-founders are two female engineers who each have 25+ years' experience - one in software engineering and cybersecurity, and the other in banking, risk management, and strategy consulting. In April 2025 we decided to combine our complementary backgrounds to launch a fintech company inspired by personal experience and a desire for social impact. During the pandemic, both of our families struggled to support elderly parents across continents as their health declined and instances of elder fraud spiked. This drove us to research the U.S. senior financial management market more broadly. We found that many seniors don’t have children or caregivers they can trust to manage their finances, or understandably, are not willing to give up their independence. Technology can fill this gap. What we learned inspired our mission: to preserve seniors' finances and peace of mind.
