Nathan Wright Landscape Design (NWLD) is a Chicago based design, build, and maintain studio with a commitment to modern naturalistic perennial garden design. Our work spans residential and commercial properties always with a priority placed on exceptional plant and hardscape material choices. We believe in the power of planning and work to provide expert execution and sustainable solutions. Our process follows a Design, Build, and Maintain sequence. Our team is comprised of industry experts, inspired learners, and emerging artists. NWLD was founded in 2010 by husband and wife team Nathan and Lola Wright. Their combined purpose, passion, and practice has enabled us to develop a highly specialized design style, maintenance philosophy, and culture. Our team members have advanced horticultural degrees, undergraduate and graduate landscape architecture degrees, and incredible field experience. Our expertise is not conceptual, it is hands on. We know the materials we work with intimately and that matters to us. Our clients enjoy personal care and attention from committed experts. Prior to their time at Nathan Wright Landscape Design our team has worked for some of Chicago’s most respected designers and gardens including Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects, Conservation Design Forum, McKay Landscape Architects, Lurie Garden, Chicago Botanic Garden, and the Morton Arboretum.
