About National Alliance Against Home Repair Fraud

The National Alliance Against Home Repair Fraud (NAAHRF) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009 to educate and empower homeowners on how to find, hire, work with and pay contractors to avoid becoming victims of contractor fraud and scams. The information and knowledge provided by NCPHIF empowers consumers to differentiate between honest contractors and those involved in home improvement fraud. Feeling empowered with this knowledge, consumers can proactively avoid being victimized by illegal contracts, insurance fraud, large upfront deposits, theft and lost payments, shoddy construction, and liens on the property they have worked so hard to acquire. NCPHIF is working to protect all neighborhoods and communities with our instructional guide “Don’t Even Think About Ripping Me Off!”, our On-Site Disaster Rapid Response Kiosk, our SmartPower workshops, corporate training, contractor vetting, community involvement, public speaking, media outreach, website, call center, and national database.
