About National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children
Children are often the first impacted but the last to be identified and helped when it comes to substance use in their families and communities. They are the silent victims of the drug epidemic. National Alliance for Drug-Endangered Children's mission is to help these children through early identification, intervention, and support by all professionals. What is a drug-endangered child? We define drug-endangered children as children who are at risk of suffering physical or emotional harm as a result of legal and/or illegal drug use, possession, manufacturing, cultivation, or distribution. They may also be children whose caretaker’s substance misuse interferes with the caretaker’s ability to parent and provide a safe and nurturing environment. National Alliance for Drug-Endangered Children (NADEC) is a national non-profit that provides critical training and resources for professionals and community leaders who have the opportunity to impact drug-endangered children. We work with states, tribes, communities, and professionals to address the issues around substance use and addiction that impact children and families. We provide training and support alliances, deliver resources, research, publications, promising practices and provide community development! We understand that local communities are the best placed to solve these issues; they already have the answers, they just need the resources and support to implement them! Join us in helping children and families! Contact us today to set up a call or a training: info@nationaldec.org.
