About National Center For Security and Crisis Management

The National Center for Security and Crises Management is based on the advanced vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, which called for the “creation of a Central Structure (Platform) for Crisis Management and a strategic umbrella through which the efforts of authorities are unified and well-coordinated to deal with possible crises at the state level”. A Royal Letter to the Prime Minister in 2005, directed the establishment of a National Center for Security and Crises Management and His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein was entrusted with supervising the establishment of the Center. In 2013, the construction of the Center’s permanent headquarters was completed in accordance with international standards and specifications and the National Center for Security and Crises Management Bylaw No. (20) for the year 2015, was ratified by a Royal Decree and published in the Official Gazette; the Center became active on April 1, 2015.
