About National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence

Founded in 2009 by former Newport News Police Officer Bobby Kipper, the National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence (NCPCV) is working in communities across America to interrupt the process of violence, before it becomes an event. By providing programs and solutions for students and adults of all ages, we are on a mission to improve the quality of life for all citizens. Founder Bobby Kipper has extensive experience in the area of preventing youth and community violence nationwide. His background includes working on a number of key national initiatives with the White House, Congress, and the Department of Justice. Since the organization’s inception, the NCPCV has developed a model bullying policy for the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), as well as a Gun Safety Program for the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Board of Education. Both of these programs currently reach over 1.5 million students annually. Currently, The organization’s newest and most requested program is GreenZone™.
