We have been working in the UK to develop and deliver suicide prevention education for many years and in recognition of the lack of dedicated resources to suicide prevention training programmes, a formal initiative was created, on a not-for-profit basis. The National Centre for Suicide Prevention Training UK CIC commissions a network of highly skilled trainers from a variety of professional backgrounds, specifically from within the voluntary, private and statutory sectors, including primary care, criminal justice, youth work, housing, nursing and mental health services.
