Founded in 1928, NCRC is an independent preschool that believes the early years are the most important for giving children a sense of self, building their confidence, and transforming them into lifelong learners. Both within and beyond the school community, NCRC seeks opportunities to advocate for all children and their families. Description NCRC is an independent preschool located in Northwest Washington, DC. Many elements make up our model preschool, including a richly diverse community, an experienced, professional faculty, a play-based curriculum inspired by research, special music, motor, and library programs, inclusion of children with special needs, parent education, and a supportive and giving community. At NCRC these elements combine to create the "magic" of our preschool, a joyful place where teachers, children and families come together to play, imagine, learn, and grow. NCRC is accredited by the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
