About National Crisis Centre

The National Crisis Centre (NCCN) is one of the five General Directorates of the Federal Public Service Home Affairs. Since 1 July 2025, Jack Hamande has been its Director General. The NCCN occupies a central key position in the structure ensuring our country's national security and resilience. We continuously collect, analyse and disseminate the critical information needed by the country's authorities, administrations and security and emergency services. Our mission, defined in the Royal Decree of 18 April 1988, places us at the heart of crisis management, linking us to the various stages of the risk cycle (identification, analysis, resilience, coordination, evaluation and return to normal). The NCCN's mandate is to coordinate, facilitate and provide strategic advice to all its partners.
