The National Institute for the Psychotherapies is a not-for-profit academic institution that provides expert graduate and post-graduate training to mental health professionals, and high quality, low cost therapy to individuals, families, couples and children. Located in the Flatiron District in New York City, NIP was chartered by the New York State Department of Education in 1972 as a non-profit educational facility. Through a wide range of training programs, NIP provides psychoanalytic training to post graduate, licensed mental health professionals in an atmosphere of academic excellence. Our training programs are dedicated to enhancing the clinical skills and personal development of our candidates within a supportive professional community. NIP's Treatment Center offers individualized treatment, on an affordable basis, that draws from a full range of psychotherapeutic and counseling services.
