The National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC), a national training institute set up by the Ministry of Education, provides quality training and professional development for Singapore’s EC (early childhood) educators at every stage of their career. Through our training courses delivered by our stellar lecturers, we develop EC educators who exemplify the attributes of NIEC’s Desired Graduate Profile: Reflective Practitioner, Relationship Builder, and Resilient Learner. Under the 'One NIEC, Four Campuses' model, our EC courses are offered at: NIEC City Campus, NIEC Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) Campus, NIEC Temasek Polytechnic (TP) Campus, and NIEC Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Campus. Since opening our doors in 2019, we have been collaborating closely with our key partners, the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) and the Ministry of Education (MOE), to raise the standard of preschool educator training in Singapore. We strive to ensure that the content in our various EC courses reflects the latest industry practices, is practice-oriented, and caters to a myriad of learners at different stages of their EC journey.
